The RAFT Social Impact Bond Pilot - Update

Posted Nov 16th, 2015

Ontario is moving forward with it's Social Impact Bonds (SIBs). The RAFT was one of four organizations selected to run a pilot project based on their SIB idea. The RAFT's proposed idea is to target over 900 at-risk young people, primarily in under-served rural areas surrounding Haldimand-Norfolk County, Niagara Region and Hamilton, to increase high school graduation rates and improve employment and social outcomes. A report was issued November 12, 2015 outlining the current status of the SIBs.
