Awakening Nieghbourhoods Initiative has been working in St. Catharines over the past year to revitalize stressed neighborhoods make positive changes. Through the Community Animator the RAFT is working with individuals in St. Catharines for healthy and strong communities.
The RAFT’s Community Animator works with local residents, community groups, social agencies and businesses to identify strengths and weaknesses of neighbourhoods. With this knowledge the Community Animator seeks out potential change. The Animator helps facilitate sustainable community-run initiatives that will strengthen the overall prosperity of the community.
